This Week in 1997 (August 16)

Nineties music was great for many reasons, but one of the highlights was the variety of genres found on the radio and specifically on the top of the charts.  In the top 10 of the Hot 100 alone, we had a country song, an R&B song, two pop rock songs, three teen pop songs, and three hip-hop songs.  The Billboard 200 album chart had a similarly eclectic make up.  Scroll down to go back in time and relive this week in 1997…
