Taylor Swift earns her 2nd #1 Hot 100 hit, following “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” released in 2012. “Shake It Off” sold 544,000 digital downloads in its first week, marking the greatest digital debut since Ariana Grande’s “Problem” sold 438,000 downloads in its first week in May and the best weekly sum this year so far.
Nicki Minaj achieves her highest peak on the chart thanks to the impressive streams registered by the “Anaconda” music video on VEVO (#1 on the streaming chart; 32.1 million) . Her previous best had been #3 with “Super Bass” and “Starships.”
