New Michael Jackson video on the way for “A Place With No Name”

The Michael Jackson Estate and Epic Records continue promotion on his second posthumous album, XSCAPE, released in May.  Tomorrow, August 13th, a video for “A Place With No Name” will be released featuring never before seen footage from the 1992 “In the Closet” video (from 1991’s Dangerous album).

Of course, in true MJ fashion, the video will premiere in a big way.  At 10 PM tomorrow, the video will simultaneously premiere via a live stream on Twitter and on the video screens in New York City’s Times Square.  In addition, So You Think You Can Dance will hold a special MJ themed episode tomorrow, with a sneak peek of the video at 8 PM.

The video is said to be modeled after his other short films, and hopes are that it can stand up against the work that Michael himself did while he was still with us.  Of course, those are hard shoes to fill.  And, if the rest of this era is any indication, it’ll probably be enjoyable but ultimately fall short.
