“Blank Space” becomes Taylor Swift’s longest stay at #1. Both Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor get new top 5 hits, while Ed Sheeran storms into the top 10 after his televised performance on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Mariah Carey’s holiday classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is up 50-40 this week.

J. Cole earns his 3rd #1 album with sales of 354,000, besting both of his previous opening weeks. Carrie Underwood gets her 5th consecutive top 5 album with her first Greatest Hits set (94,000 copies sold).

K. Michelle’s Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? debuts at #6 with 84,000 units sold. Though it hits a lower peak than her debut album, it gets a higher first week total: Rebellious Soul had debuted at #2 with 72,000 in sales.

Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour crosses the 1 million mark in sales. It’s only the 3rd album released in 2014 to pass that threshold.

“Tuesday” returns to the top for a 2nd non-consecutive week. Nicki Minaj earns a 2nd top 10 hit from her new project as “Only” rises 13-10; “Pills N Potions” had previously peaked at #10.

Among this week’s debuts are J. Cole’s “Apparently” (#40), Nicki Minaj’s “Feelin Myself” ft. Beyoncé (#42) and Jazmine Sullivan’s “Forever Don’t Last” (#50).
