Drake’s exclusivity deal with Apple Music allows The Weeknd to stay on top of the Hot 100 for one more week, the 6th, before hurricane Adele comes with a surefire #1 debut next week. “Hotline Bling” remains stuck at #2 despite an increase in airplay and digital sales because the exclusive release of the colorful and viral music video on Apple’s streaming service does not allow its streaming figures to be counted by the SoundScan system. Meanwhile, the video makes its VEVO debut today.

The acapella group Pentatonix earns its first #1 album as their self-titled first collection of original tracks debuts at the top with 88,000 copies sold. It’s the group’s 2nd top 10 album, after last year’s Christmas collection peaked at #2. A series of EPs had also reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 between 2013 and 2014.

Demi Lovato’s new album Confident debuts at #2 with 77,000 copies sold. It’s Demi’s 5th consecutive top 5 title.
