On the charts: Week ending 07/10

This week’s top 10 songs and albums on the Billboard charts (07/25 issue).

This is the first Billboard issue impacted by the Global Release Day introduced on July 10. New music is now released on Fridays, as opposed to Tuesdays. As a consequence, Nielesen SoundScan will now track sales on a Friday-Thursday period.

“Cheerleader” ends the 12 non-consecutive week reign of “See You Again” on the first chart impacted by the new release schedule. The track sold 276,000 download on the extraordinary 11-days period tracked by SoundScan, but is also aided by good climbs on Radio and Streaming Songs.
