As anticipated in last week’s recap, Taylor Swift jumps to #1 with her latest single “Bad Blood.” The song is Taylor’s 4th #1 hit, the 3rd from 1989, and it’s Kendrick Lamar’s first appearance at the top of the Hot 100.  “Bad Blood” sold 385,000 downloads (+721%) and dethroned “See You Again” from #1 on Digital Songs after a 7 weeks reign; it rises 45-16 on Hot 100 Airplay with a #13 debut at CHR/Top 40 radio (only Taylor’s own “Shake It Off” and Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover” have done better with a #12 debut) and debuts at #3 on Streaming Songs with 18.1 million streams. The music video had, in fact, already broke the 24h VEVO record on its first day. It is still unclear whether it will hold on at #1 for a second week, but the chances are good.
