Desiigner ascends to the top of the Hot 100, putting an end to a very long streak of non-American artists holding the #1 spot. “Panda” is the top streamed song of the week, with over 35 million between video views and audio streams.

Drake jumps to the top 3 with “One Dance,” while 6 of Prince’s classic songs re-enter the Hot 100 following news of his death: “Purple Rain” which rapidly shot to the top of iTunes and landed at #17 this week, “When Doves Cry” (#20), “Kiss” (#28), “Little Red Corvette” (#29), “Let’s Go Crazy” (#39) and “1999” (#41).

In the few hours after the news of Prince’s passing broke on Thursday, his iconic catalog saw an immediate rise in sales. A total of 8 of Prince’s classic albums re-enter the Billboard 200 this week, led by the hits collection The Very Best of Prince, which becomes his fifth #1 album with 100,000 copies sold in the span of half a day.

The soundtrack to the legendary Purple Rain movie is the highest entry among Prince’s non-compilation releases. It sold 63,000 copies with an increase of 3,101%. It is the album’s 100th week on the chart since its release in 1984.

Besides the other collections The Hits/The B-Sides (#6) and Ultimate (#61), the Purple One is also on the Billboard 200 with 1999 (#31), Sign ‘o’ the Times (#95), his most recent release HITnRun: Phase One (#147) and his self-titled album (#160).
